Salesforce Tower

It’s one thing to look at renderings and drawings on your computer screen, or if you’re lucky, as we were, to check out some awesome scaled mockups of Jim Campbell’s amazing LED piece “Day for Night”, but it’s another thing altogether to be over 1,000 feet above street level during construction and take stock of the scale of the piece we were working on. The top of the tower is enclosed in a perforated skin that completes the shape of the tower. By night this skin comes alive from within and then becomes an illuminated screen as LED’s light the outer surface of the perforated metal skin.
